Brave Bites Terms of Use

Effective date: October 4, 2026

These terms apply to the Brave Bites iPhone app made by ProposalOak ("we", "us"). By using Brave Bites you agree to them and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which also applies.

What Brave Bites is

Brave Bites is a habit and motivation tool that helps parents and caregivers encourage children to try new foods. It is for adults to set up and use together with their children.

Not medical advice

Tips and features in Brave Bites are general information, not medical, nutritional or therapeutic advice. Always supervise children while they eat, follow your pediatrician's guidance, and never offer foods your child is allergic to or that are a choking risk for their age. If your child eats very few foods, is losing weight or not growing, often gags or chokes, or meals cause real distress, talk to your pediatrician.

Photo scans

The "Snap the plate" feature uses AI to guess which foods are in a photo. Results can be wrong; please check them. Only take photos of food, and avoid including people's faces.

Subscriptions and purchases

Acceptable use

Don't misuse the app or our scan service, try to get around limits, or upload anything other than photos of food.

Liability

Brave Bites is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited.

Changes

We may update these terms. We'll change the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
