Mealcue Terms of Use
Effective date: October 1, 2026
Mealcue is made by ProposalOak ("we", "us"). By downloading or using Mealcue you agree to these terms. If you get the app from the Apple App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/) also applies; if these terms conflict with it, Apple's agreement controls for App Store users.
1. Who can use Mealcue
You must be 18 or older.
2. Estimates, not medical advice
Mealcue gives estimates of calories, protein, sodium and other nutrients, from photos, barcodes, a built-in food list and your entries. Estimates can be wrong. The app does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition and is not a substitute for a doctor or registered dietitian. Talk to a professional before changing your diet, especially if you are pregnant, have a medical condition such as kidney disease, diabetes or high blood pressure, or have a history of disordered eating.
3. Subscriptions
- Mealcue is free to use with daily limits. Mealcue Premium is an auto-renewing subscription, billed yearly or monthly at the price shown in the app before you buy.
- Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account when you confirm, or when a free trial ends.
- The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- Cancel or manage your subscription in your Apple or Google account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel it.
- Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription, where applicable.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
4. Fair use
Premium includes unlimited everyday use. To keep the service available for everyone, we may limit automated or unusually heavy use (for example more than 60 photo scans in a day).
5. Your content
Photos you scan are used only to produce your estimate and are not kept. Your logs stay on your device. See the Privacy Policy.
6. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service: no attempts to break, overload, reverse engineer or resell it, and no use that breaks the law.
7. Changes and availability
We may update the app and these terms. We will post changes with a new effective date. We may change or stop features, but if we stop Premium we will not charge for periods we cannot provide.
8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The app is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
